Avalanche

Inspired by a painting by Turner, I loved the excitement of the cascading snow and contrast of the dark landscape and crystal-like rock formations.  For a short period of time, I painted in earth tones and enjoyed the difference from the primary colors I worked with for many years.  Of course, rocks and mountains and nature itself is a more than worthy muse.
