Sedona, Arizona is dotted with red mountains and spires stretching into the sky. People have named many of the rock formations. Perhaps the most famous is Cathedral Rock - iconic and most photographed. Old Grayback was renamed by Walt Disney when he lived here - christened "Thunder Mountain." Since 1992 I have always lived close to or in view of Thunder Mountain and I consider it to be the main energy system here. Millions of years ago, Sedona was under water and walking the land one can imagine a sniff of sea in the air or find a tiny seashell. This painting is about the birth of Thunder Mountain as it happened through and within a sonic burst.
