Ceremonial Bowl, Newgrange, Ireland

This piece was painted, like many, long before I ever visited the site and walked the 5200 year old passageway.  Inside there are three alcoves and this is one of them. The passage and chamber are aligned with the rising sun o the mornings around Winter Solstice. The lush green Boyne Valley is home to earth mounds, caves, passageways and underground tunnels and a delight to explore.
