I am fascinated by the people, animals, beings and scenes carved into or painted on rocks.  Petroglyphs (images carved, incised or scratched into stone) and Pictographs (paintings on stone, using natural pigments.) are abundant worldwide.  These stories and images can be similar in different parts of the world. Shamans traveling between the worlds would record what they saw and discovered upon the stones.
